The organisation of the IFB is centered on continuous interaction with the supervisory bodies that oversee the infrastructure (the supervisory committee) and with other national "omics" infrastructures and user communities in the broadest sense. Recommendations from an International Scientific Committee (SAB), an Industry Committee (IAC) and an Ethics Committee (EC) guide these governance bodies in designing the IFB's strategic and scientific orientations. The actions required to achieve the IFB’s strategy are set out in an annually revised roadmap and they are implemented by the IFB's operational units.
